McMinnville, Ore. – September 16, 2022 – As part of The Springs Living’s annual commitment to support the educational goals of its employees and their families, the organization has awarded nearly $25,000 in scholarships to 45 students in the Northwest for the 2022-23 academic year. Over the last six years, The Springs Living has awarded more than $125,000 in scholarships to employees and their family members in support their professional development.

 

“When employees come to The Springs Living, it stems from a desire not just to make a difference in the world, but also to discover their passions and build their skills,” said Fee Stubblefield, founder and CEO of The Springs Living. “They want to make a difference, not just make a living. These scholarships support their efforts to grow professionally so they can continue contributing to a better world through their work whether they stay with us for the long-term or not.”

Scholarship applications were accepted from any current employee of The Springs Living and their immediate family members seeking to advance their education in the 2022-23 school year. The amount awarded to each recipient is determined by a combination of a written essay and service years with the company. Employees pursuing degrees in nursing receive additional financial support. Scholarships are awarded to recipients to use for expenses, including tuition, books, and technology supporting their education or their current position.

 

Based in McMinnville, Ore., The Springs Living owns and operates 19 senior living communities in Oregon and Montana, offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care services. A new community, The Springs at The Waterfront, is under development in Vancouver, Washington. In 2022, The Springs Living was named to the Fortune Best Workplaces in Aging Services list for the third consecutive year.
