Founder & CEO
Fee Stubblefield is the founder and CEO of The Springs Living, an investment, development, and management company dedicated to building communities and services for older adults. Based in McMinnville, Oregon, it owns and operates 20 communities in the Pacific Northwest offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care services. Stubblefield serves on the Board of Directors of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) as a member of the executive committee and inaugural vice chair of strategy. He served as the chair of the Oregon Health Care Association (OHCA) and has served as the chair of the Providence Milwaukie Foundation. Inspired by a promise to his grandmother, Stubblefield founded The Springs Living in 1996 to deliver quality experiences and services to older adults to support them in living life to its fullest. The Springs Living was named for Lehman Hot Springs in Northeastern Oregon, where he grew up. Stubblefield’s upcoming book, to be published by Forbes, reveals his story of building a company and culture that cares for others.
President
Brenda Connelly is president of The Springs Living, bringing over 20 years of healthcare experience to the role. Since joining The Springs Living as an executive director in 2010, Connelly has held a variety of positions, most recently as chief operating officer overseeing all aspects of community operations, including facilities management, healthcare services, culinary services, sales, and marketing. Previously, she served as chief quality officer, overseeing the development and execution of a comprehensive, company-wide quality program, which led to improved clarity of quality standards, resources, compliance, and resident satisfaction. Connelly serves on the Oregon Health Care Association Quality and Compliance Council. She received a Special Services Award from Oregon Health Care Association in 2021 and was named to the McKnight’s Senior Living Women of Distinction Hall of Honor in 2022. Connelly earned a master’s degree in quantitative management – health analytics from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from North Dakota State University.
Executive Vice President, CFO
As an executive leadership team member at The Springs Living, Steven Stradley supports several initiatives and long-term strategic goals, especially risk management, legal services, and development. Stradley’s career includes more than 20 years in leadership positions in the healthcare and senior living professions. For nine years before joining The Springs Living, Stradley served as CEO of a national behavioral health organization. Stradley holds a Bachelor of Science in business finance from Oregon State University.
Chief of Staff
Lisa Maynard is Chief of Staff for The Springs Living, a position she has held since July 2022. In this role, Maynard oversees the Office of the CEO, providing as a strategic business counselor and leading a full range of business projects. Prior to being named Chief of Staff, Maynard served as Chief People Officer for The Springs Living, developing human resource strategies focused on recruiting, training, developing, and retaining the best employees for the company’s senior living communities in the Northwest. Maynard joined The Springs Living in 2002 and has held a number of management positions at The Springs at Clackamas Woods in Milwaukie, Oregon, and at the home office in McMinnville, Oregon. A graduate of Oregon State University’s health administration program, Maynard also has a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University. She currently serves as a member of the Oregon Health Care Association board.
Vice President of Operational Excellence
As vice president of operational excellence, Brown is focused on forward-facing operational strategy, including driving quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization, building a strong pipeline of talent through a comprehensive leadership development program and ongoing training, and positioning the organization for strong financial stewardship through sound operational purchasing systems. Brown has been with The Springs Living for nine years, first as executive director of The Springs at Carman Oaks in Lake Oswego, Oregon, and, since 2020, as regional director of operations. Prior to her time at The Springs Living, Brown served more than a decade in multiple administrator roles in the senior living field. Brown currently serves as the vice chair of the State of Oregon Long Term Care Administrator’s Board. She graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in health care administration and holds a certificate from Oregon State in gerontology.
Vice President of Operations
Nicole Jemming is vice president of operations of The Springs Living, responsible for leading the daily operations of all Springs Living communities and the infrastructure that supports them. Jemming joined The Springs Living in 2017 as executive director of The Springs at Whitefish, bringing a decade of health care administration experience in long-term care and skilled nursing. She served as regional director of operations from 2000 to 2023. A native Montanan, Jemming learned the value of hard work and an occupation that never sleeps by growing up on a cattle ranch near Malta. Jemming has a bachelor’s degree in health care administration with a minor in business administration from Montana State University – Billings.
Vice President of Marketing
James Eastwood is vice president of marketing for The Springs Living. In this role, he manages the company’s branding and spearheads lead generation strategy and creative direction in support of the organization’s 20 senior living communities across the Pacific Northwest. Eastwood has two decades of marketing experience, having served as head of marketing for the Americas with Milestone Systems, a video software company based in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Prior to that, he served as vice president of marketing and communications for Oregonian Media Group in Portland. He has served as a brand marketing consultant and strategist for companies like Adidas, Red Bull, the University of Oregon, and the San Jose Earthquakes. A native of London, England, Eastwood graduated cum laude from San Francisco State University in California with a Bachelor of Arts in English writing composition.
Regional Director of Operations
With over 15 years of experience leading senior living communities, Lindbo joined The Springs Living in August 2023 after serving as RDO at Sapphire Health Services in Oregon. Previously, he led various communities in Oregon, California, and Washington as executive director. Lindbo is currently the state leader on behalf of the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) for Washington State. Working with the Oregon Health Care Association (OHCA), he will continue to advocate for older adults’ needs. Lindbo, who has a licensed practical nursing (LPN) degree from Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, Washington, developed a passion for senior living and employee advocacy early in life, as he spent much of his youth visiting a skilled nursing community where his mother was a caregiver.
Regional Director of Operations
Meaghan Walkup is regional director of operations, overseeing seven communities across Oregon outside the Portland Metro area. Walkup served as senior executive director, overseeing two communities in Medford, Oregon, after being at the help of The Springs at Anna Maria for a decade. Starting in 2005, Walkup worked in various frontline positions, eventually working her way up through the ranks. A 2022 recipient of the Leadership Excellence Award from the Oregon Health Care Association, Walkup has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern Oregon University.
Senior Executive Director, Salem
Cari Buchholz is Senior Executive Director for The Springs Living’s three communities in Salem, Oregon: The Springs at Lancaster Village, The Springs at Sunnyview, and The Springs at Willowcreek. Buchholz was executive director for Emerald Pointe Senior Living in Keizer, Oregon, for 10 years, and prior to that, she worked at The Springs at Tanasbourne in Hillsboro, Oregon as a sales representative. Buchholz started her senior living career at The Springs at Sunnyview in 2000. She earned a Bachelor of Science in business economics and sociology from Willamette University in Salem.
Senior Executive Director, Lake Oswego
Beth Mueller oversees all aspects of the senior living community as executive director, including ensuring quality service to residents, maintaining financial and regulatory compliance, and recruiting and retaining employees. Mueller joins The Springs Living after seven years with Brookdale Senior Living, where she most recently served as an executive director. She started in senior living as a life enrichment director for Merrill Gardens in 2011. Her first experience working with seniors was while teaching senior fitness classes in McMinnville, Oregon. In addition to administrator certifications in Oregon and Washington, Mueller has a Bachelor of Arts in exercise science from Linfield University.

Executive Director of The Springs at Butte
Faith Burns has been executive director for The Springs at Butte in Butte, Montana, since July 2022. A lifelong Montanan, Burns started her career in the insurance industry before moving to hospice and home services. Before joining The Springs Living, Burns served as chief financial officer at Senior Solutions Home Care & Hospice in Butte. She has a bachelor’s degree in business from Montana Technological University.
Executive Director of The Springs at Bozeman
Joshua Fogg is executive director of The Springs at Bozeman in Bozeman, Montana. Fogg has more than 15 years of senior living experience, most recently as vice president of integration and operations for Civitas Senior Living in Fort Worth, Texas. Before that, he worked for Blue Harbor Senior Living, serving as an executive director for communities in Texas and New Hampshire. He started his career in senior living in 2006 as an assistant administrator at Pine Rock Manor in Warner, New Hampshire. He has a Bachelor of Science in management from Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire.

Executive Director of The Springs at Wilsonville
Chris Lyons is executive director of The Springs at Wilsonville in Wilsonville, Oregon. Since 2020, she was an executive director of an Aegis Living community in San Francisco. Previously, she worked at Target Corp., where she was an executive team leader of service and engagement, and district manager of the San Francisco and Portland markets for Starbucks Coffee, where she worked for 17 years. Lyons has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Wisconsin and a certificate from UC Berkeley in human resources generalist studies.
Executive Director of The Springs at Veranda Park
Steve McArthur is executive director of The Springs at Veranda Park in Medford, Oregon. McArthur’s background includes experience as a senior executive with several consumer products companies. McArthur lives with his wife, Valerie, in Medford.
Executive Director of The Springs at Grand Park
As the executive director, Tyler McClellan is responsible for all aspects of community operations, including ensuring quality service to residents, maintaining financial and regulatory compliance, and recruiting and retaining employees. Most recently, McClellan served as the food and beverage director at The Springs at Grand Park, having been promoted from executive chef. He has held a variety of other roles, growing his senior living experience since starting with The Springs Living in 2009. He was recognized by the company with its 2023 Spark Award for his innovative leadership after increasing efficiency of processes, implementing cost-saving measures, and finding solutions to provide consistent quality service.
Executive Director of The Springs at Missoula
Jessica Miles has been executive director of The Springs at Missoula since July 2023. She was previously executive director of The Springs at Grand Park in Billings, Montana, for nearly three years. She joined The Springs at Grand Park in 2016 as a receptionist and also held the positions of business office manager and director of community relations. In addition to undergraduate studies in pre-engineering through the University of Montana, Miles has an Associate of Science in accounting from Dawson Community College in Glendive, Montana.
Executive Director of The Springs at Tanasbourne
Dhrasti Patel is the executive director of The Springs at Tanasbourne in Hillsboro, Oregon. Previously, Patel was executive director of The Springs at Sherwood for two years. She has also served as a memory care manager and health and wellness director of Leisure Care’s The Ackerly at Sherwood. She also worked as a charge nurse at Avamere Rehab of Lebanon in Lebanon, Oregon. Patel has a master’s degree in business administration from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and a Bachelor of Science in health care administration from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. She also has a diploma in practical nursing from Sumner College, also located in Portland.
Executive Director of The Springs at Sherwood
Amanda Sanchez brings 15 years of senior living experience to The Springs at Sherwood, including the past six as executive director of Regency Park Assisted Living and Memory Care in Southwest Portland. There, she oversaw operations and fostered a compassionate and enriched environment for residents and employees. She has served in various community leadership positions, from life enrichment coordinator to health services director. Sanchez embarked on her senior living career in 2009 as a certified nursing assistant in California. She moved to Oregon in 2012 to spend time with her grandfather, who was battling early-onset Alzheimer's disease, which deepened her passion for working with older adults. Sanchez holds an Oregon residential care facility administrator’s license and remains certified as a nursing assistant.
Executive Director of The Springs at The Waterfront
Drew Shaffer is the executive director of The Springs Living’s newest community, The Springs at The Waterfront, located in Vancouver, Washington. In this role, Shaffer, who was hired more than a year before the community opened, has led the charge for opening The Springs Living’s first Washington community and oversees operational optimization, quality compliance, and recruiting the right team members. Shaffer joined The Springs Living in spring 2022, bringing 18 years of experience as a senior housing leader in Clark County, Washington. Most of that time was spent as an executive director and regional director of operations for The Quarry Senior Living and as executive director and administrator at Glenwood Place Senior Living. Shaffer holds an Associate of Business Administration from Lower Columbia College and a state of Washington assisted living administrator license.
Executive Director of The Springs at Mill Creek
Toni Sly has served as executive director of The Springs at Mill Creek in The Dalles, Oregon, since January 2015. For more than 20 years, Sly has focused her career on supporting seniors. Originally from Utah, she served on the Senior Care Council there as a health care specialist, and volunteered her time as an adviser for Senior Care Associates, where she met with families to help them understand the care continuum.
Executive Director of The Springs at Greer Gardens
Scott Warden is executive director of The Springs at Greer Gardens in Eugene, Oregon. He was previously executive director of The Springs at Missoula since September 2020. Warden joined The Springs Living in 2018 as community relations director at The Springs at Carman Oaks in Lake Oswego, Oregon. He has been in the senior living field since 2002. He has a Bachelor of Arts in commercial studies from the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, and a Master of Divinity from McGill University in Montreal.
Executive Director of The Springs at Happy Valley
Tim Watson is executive director of The Springs at Happy Valley. Watson most recently served as senior executive director of Dial Senior Living in Boulder, Colorado. Before establishing a career in the senior living profession, Watson served as director of choral activities at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, for 15 years, overseeing budgets, curriculum, and strategic vision for the department. He also served as president of the Iowa Choral Directors Association. He has a Master of Arts from the University of South Dakota and a Bachelor of Arts from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
