The Springs Living Awards Scholarships to 59 Students in the Northwest

McMinnville, Ore. — November 8, 2021 — As part of The Springs Living’s annual commitment to support the educational goals of its employees and their families, the organization has awarded nearly $25,000 in scholarships to 59 students in the Northwest for the 2021-22 academic year. Through The Springs Living Scholarship Program, the organization has awarded more than $100,000 to its employees over the last five years to support their professional development.

“Our mission to change the way people feel about senior living starts with changing how people work in senior living,” said Fee Stubblefield, founder and CEO of The Springs Living. “The pandemic has only highlighted the heroic service of our frontline staff, and the need to advance this profession. These scholarships are just one way we are supporting our staff who deliver quality service to residents each and every day.”

Scholarship applications were accepted from any current employee of The Springs Living and their immediate family members seeking to advance their education in the 2021-22 school year. The amount awarded to each recipient is determined by a combination of a written essay and service years with the company. Scholarships are awarded to recipients to use for expenses, including tuition, books, and technology supporting their education.

“This scholarship will take the edge off my financial stress and help me continue to give my all to my studies,” said Molly Burton, a caregiver at The Springs at Tanasbourne in Hillsboro, Oregon. “My future goals include completing my bachelor’s degree and continuing to work as a caregiver at The Springs Living. I am using my skills as a CNA daily, and I have the time during my shift to spend one-on-one having fun with residents.”

This year, The Springs Living launched a new program that provides additional financial support to those in their junior or senior year of nursing school.

The following are recipients of this year’s scholarships, sorted alphabetically by their city of residence. Their names are listed along with the senior living community where they or their family member work.
